When you export a Variable TT font, in some cases, the FreeType rasterizer showed some points (nodes) of the glyph jump up/down when you chose an instance. This was a bug in FreeType and it is fixed. However, as of 19 July 2020, this bug still occurs in InDesign 2020 and Illustrator 2020. We have notified Adobe about those problems.
