Issue:
When I try to open FontLab VI it crashes and I get to see a crash report text message:
Solution:
This is the result of Monterey 12.4 update which removed Python 2.7. The solution is to download and install Python 2.7.18 using this original installer:
https://www.python.org/ftp/python/2.7.18/python-2.7.18-macosx10.9.pkg
This is a safe operation and it should solve the issue.
We also recommend to upgrade FontLab IV to version 8 which is fully compatible with macOS Monterey.
